Google changed the way they ranked websites because they want to deliver what Internet searchers are looking for in information. So, what do we have to do as article writers? We have to give Internet searchers what they want, so in turn, we are giving Google what they want.
Internet searchers want to find information in a matter of seconds or they will move on to the next website. They don't want to read. They want to skim a page. If they find what they want, they'll stay. If not, they'll press the back button and they're gone from your website.
So what does that mean for you? When you write an article (or whoever writes your articles), make sure key information (what the searcher is looking for) is easily found in the article. It should be under a good header that is basically saying, "HEY...RIGHT HERE...THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR" This way, the reader stops, and stays on the article to read.
Make the article easy to read by making it interesting with short sentences, bullets, headers, images, videos, etc. Don't bore...excite. We're in an entertainment world, so entertain.
